Deputy Executive Director, New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement
Eric Weiss has been with the Division of Gaming Enforcement since 1991 and has held positions in the Investigative, Technical and Executive Bureaus. In 2008, he became the Division’s Slot Lab Administrator. During his eight years in that position, Weiss was recognized for his efforts to improve the oversight and regulation of casino gaming technology. In 2013, he played a key role in bringing Internet gaming to New Jersey, as he was responsible for researching policy, approving Internet gaming systems, and the technical oversight of New Jersey’s Internet gaming industry. In 2016, he became the Division’s Chief of Staff where he was involved in a variety of Division initiatives including sports wagering. In 2019, he returned to the Division’s Slot Laboratory as the Deputy Executive Director of Technical Services. As a key member of Director Rebuck’s Executive staff, he currently oversees the Division’s Engineering, Quality Assurance, Casino Services, Cyber Security and Information Technology Investigations teams.
